The National Capital Chapter is honored to offer our members a once-in-a-lifetime experience and proudly be the only BMW CCA Chapter hosting the America and the America's Cup Tour! "The America" is a historically accurate schooner that will give attendees a chance to sail back in time aboard a painstaking replica of the original "America," which in 1851 stunned the world by winning the legendary sailing race around the Isle of Wight and won the trophy that now bears her name, the America’s Cup!
In 1851 a radical looking schooner ghosted out of the afternoon mist and swiftly sailed past the Royal Yacht stationed in the Solent, between the Isle of Wight and the south coast of England, on an afternoon when Queen Victoria was watching a sailing race. As the schooner, named America, passed the Royal Yacht in first position, and saluted by dipping its ensign three times, Queen Victoria asked one of her attendants to tell her who was in second place. “Your Majesty, there is no second,” came the reply. That phrase, just four words, is still the best description of the America’s Cup, and how it represents the singular pursuit of excellence.
We hope you will gather up your finest mates and join us for an amazing day in Annapolis!
Register here.
Unfortunate that America's Cup Tour Visit was already "Sold-out" only a few days after the opening registration date.
Seems to me that considering that our chapter members number in the thousands, our tour organizers would arrange for more of our members to be able to take advantage of this "Once-in-a lifetime" opportunity.
Thank you.
Eddie Henry
Due to incredibly high demand, we are elated to say that we've SOLD OUT the private sail on America. However, interested members should still signup as we'll try to accommodate as many on the waitlist as possible (plus, you never know what might happen).
Everyone is still invited to Cars & Coffee and the walking tours of America while its docked, so all BMW enthusiasts are encouraged to join the festivities on the Annapolis waterfront.

We are pleased to announce that BMW of Annapolis will sponsor this epic event, so make sure to join us on the docks! Our voyage on the America is only a few weeks away, so let's pack the waterfront for Cars & Coffee. We have an action-packed day with walk aboard tours, lunch, and our 3 hour tour on America (registration required).
While we're currently running a waitlist for the afternoon sail, you're encouraged to still register because of last minute cancellations; plus, you never know what may happen....
