Thanks for the heads up Steven! Remember the 2008 hotel filled up the first day.

I'm redoing the ofest website.
Currently http://www.bmwccaofest.org
Working on it at http://ofest09.318ti.org
Any comments?
Besides I need to add more content.
People didn't complain about the M packages (except me) so they will remain. I am taking direction from the Roundel art director. There are things I like about both 09 sites. I think the photos are better in the 2nd one with the arc at the bottom of the photo.
They will be work in progress until the end of the event.
I'm trying to make it more of a general ofest site so I don't need to change it each year, except for the logo and location.
If anyone would like to help, I am ready for my first round of testing the Ofest registration form.
Don't enter a credit card.
Instructions are at
http://www.bmwccaofest.org/registration.phtml
The form will be
https://www.bmwccaofest.org/registration.php
People will also be able to make minor changes to their form after submitting at
http://www.bmwccaofest.org/registration_edit.php
OK,
I need some help here.

Some people have hit the submit, but didn't fill out anything.
For the credit card number, just use some random numbers.
Charges are not run through now anyway.
I need feedback.
I think you need to clarify the packages. "Includes all events" isn't really true if autocross or driver schools are additional.
Is there anyone or any committee reviewing needed changes to the autocross classes?

My first suggestion is to adopt the NCC's new preparation and car classes.
http://www.nccbmwcca.org/index.php?o...=41&Itemid=166
Short of that, the current Ofest rules have 18 BMW classes, plus two for Minis, one for BMW "race cars" and one for non-BMWs. In 2008 some of these classes had zero, one, two, three and four entries. Another class had 32 entries. So someone that was last in their class gets a trophy while someone that beat almost 90 percent of the cars in his class gets none. This disparity can be corrected. The new Z4 3.5 isn't classed. Some cars are mis-matched IMHO. The rules mention aftermarket paint colors and wax. Someone thought that was funny 15 years ago. It's time for that stuff to go.

Change is hard.
I need to look at the the number of entries from the last two years.
We still have that award for the best and only 3.0 each year.
Not to mention the BF Goodrich Award.
I got rid of the silly rule about stereos. No one even noticed.
I figure I'll strip away more silly rules little by little.
The largest classes are the M3s.
I don't see the classes changing this year, but I would talk to the executive board during the week with suggestions.
This year we are allowing Peachtree to compete.
