I think the adjustable shocks were a bit too stiff. I put them back to full soft.

It was frustrating because the week before I knew that it would be dry, clear, and about 55 degrees. Having driven this lot so much, I became accustomed to what to expect, but the pavement issue was a complete curveball.

I feel a little better, since Brian told me he had a slower time than mine on his first run as a result of what must have been a really big slide, since I spun twice and apparently finished more quickly.

When it is wet, it is one thing, but this was like ice.. like spots at Summit Point, but much larger.

I'm interested to see the results when they come up.


The big controversy is how much the warmer tires helped the guys who either re-ran, or had a co-driver, since it was so cold.

I'm just glad that I had a clean run, although it could have been much faster.

If nothing else, I 'm here for (1) all of your entertainment, and (2) to show why you should put two feet in, and not have to restart your car after a 420 degree spin at 10 miles per hour.

I co-drove Jason's RSX. The front tires saw a tiny bit of heat after both of our second runs. It was no where near enough to be effective lol. Our struggle was understeer. I had to back off the throttle and be real patient so the car wouldn't plow.

Noel, when I watch your vids I can really feel your pain and frustration, I could almost hear it, but you kept your commentary too low for the camera to pick up.

We will be back at FedEx in 2 weeks, May 2, we will see if the sealant cures enough to improve the grip.

My hope is they will move events back to the other lot. I like the elevation changes on that lot

All we need are a few good rain storms and the lots should come back. The real question, of course, is "will we get them?"

Hopefully. Unfortunately it looks like they'll be laying that pavement on the rest of that lot...

Just checked and it looks like they are working on posting the results. They have the PAX time's up right now(which you can see your best run in and figure out placement)

Here's my co-drivers first run in his '02 RSX-S in ST. I only got this run on my camera due to some issues it was having. Luckily Jason had his in car camera working and got all our runs. Once he gets it edited I'll post it.

Probably my worst day EVAR, which isn't saying that much since I'm still a newbie

First run, missed a turn. Didn't hear anything about it over the PA as I was coming in and all the guy handing over the post-its said was "nice run".

Second run, missed the same turn. Didn't hear anything about it over the PA or from the post-it guy

Third run, I hear "off course" over the PA and the post-it guy wrote DNF with my time. I was perplexed since I ran the exact same course the previous two times through. Then someone tells me that those runs were O.C. as well. Well F me, this day's shot.

So I start watching other runs and figured it out. Only had one shot to get a good run in and I'm going balls out. The only thing going for me this day was that I hadn't spun like 60% of everyone else had. But I overcooked the corner I hadn't been on all day and came out of there doing fun loop de loops, maybe two full rotations. I think that's why my neck and shoulders are sore still.

Not too cool to start the year in the cellar when I know I can beat at least the first four or five cars that wound up ahead of me. We'll try again in a couple weeks and maybe I'll have my head on straight by then.

I had 2 near spins on my 1st and 3rd run was clean but sloppy on my second run and fast but clipped the last cone on my last run, but since it was a re-run my tires had some heat in them probably why it was much faster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFfio8iHrc8 54.865+1my best was 56.469
