"Mid-Ohio Steve", you must be hooked. Got my registration in for 3 days at VIR (Full Course) with the Porsche Club of America, First Settlers Region 3 day Spring Drivers School, May 19-21. http://fst.pca.org ($335 for 3 track days). Space still available. Doug
Sounds tempting. Already too much going on that weekend.
We have the Shenandoah DE and the Jeff 500.
First Settlers are a good bunch of people.
You'll probably be signed off after your first session.
I must drive Mid-Ohio once a year. With the repaving it will be like learning a new track.
Besides the fact that I am going to need tires soon, not to mention the lack of funds.
Wouldn't you rather do the Shenandoah that weekend Doug? I think it's much better suited to an M5.Originally Posted by dbonner

You can't be serious, Woody! Maybe if I put extra rubber padding on all my fenders....
Not enough long straights.Originally Posted by woodym3
Now you're talking Steve. The M5 likes bigger tracks. Turns are fine, but some good straights and hi-speed corners are preferred....
OK, I see that Steven is going, again, who else is going? Anyone interested in sharing a garage, if they are still available?

Charlie is sharing my garage with Jason, someone from bimmerforums and me. We can probably squeeze another person in. 5 people would make it $40 for the weekend each. I'm starting to feel like a slumlord.Originally Posted by Real M3
Steven, Yea I know, he told me yesterday. Do you think we can actually fit 5 in one of their garages comfortabley? That's why I asked if anyone else is going, wants to share.Originally Posted by 1996 328ti

It's not like we will be parking all the cars in there.
Being that there is no club race, there is plenty of parking near the garages.
You can fit two cars at a time in the garage to work on them at the same time. I guess it really matters which run group everyone is in.
If you find someone to share with, fine. If not, we'll see what we can do.
Primarily the garage is just to store our crap.
I think I've shared a MO garage with as many as 10. Look at it as a place to keep you stuff (and yourself) out of the rain. A car only goes in there when repairs are necessary. Of course you may have a single highroller in the adjacent garage using to keep his 911 out of the sun.

Well, that 's OK with me, just didn't want to overwhelm others. I concur that it would be primarily for storage anyway. Be glad to share the cost.Originally Posted by 1996 328ti

The only thing I hate about garage #1 is that people always drive up to the bathrooms and block the area, DE Participants, Mid-Ohio vans, you name it.
Looking forward to it, just hope the car is put back together in time.

Jason, just remember, every good lookin' girl there will have to walk by your garage several times a day. And some will stop and chat.Originally Posted by jkuper
