The Austrian Duller Motorsport Z4 M Coupe of Dieter Quester, Dirk Werner and Jamie Campbell-Walter and Philipp Peter won the Toyo Tires Dubai 24 Hour race run Jan.13-14. The team had been a contender throughout the race, but with just an hour left it appeared that it would place second behind the Porsche 996 of Franz Konrad, Wolfgang Kaufmann, Michael Schrey, Luciano da Silva, and Stefan Rosina. However, a wheel bearing failed on the Porsche at about the 23-hour mark, forcing it into the pits for a long stop. The Porsche returned to finish second, but the stop enabled the Z4 to turn what had been a seven-lap deficit into a three-lap lead.
