SCCA is putting on a Divisional Autocross on July 29-31, in memory of Ron Katona. Anyone who wants to come out and play is welcome to do so. Information can be found on the DC Solo web page: http://solo.wdcr-scca.org
Registration is open already, and there are about 100 slots left. If you're looking for more seat time, this is a good way to see how the national level SCCA events work.
Here's the information from Craig Garfield, the SCCA autocross Chairman:
I have had a few questions about the event, Let's see if I can answer a few of the most common.
1. It is $70 for ALL 3 days
2. Tech, check-in and welcome dinner is Friday afternoon and evening.
3. There will be a practice course set up Friday afternoon, $2 per run, proceeds to go to the Ron Katona Motorsports Foundation.
4. Saturday will be one course, Sunday will be a different course.
5. Cars will be impounded after they run so competitors can "eyeball" each other and have an opportunity to protest if they see something illegal. Hoods and trunks must remain open.
6. You will not work in the heat following your run, plan on being there most of the day. See #5 above.
7. Mod, Prepared and Karts will be weighed.
8. Many fun and game things going on to raise money for the RKMF.
9. Is there contingency money for Divisionals? For some, MINI, BMW I know there is ,Tires and other makes you need to check. Divisionals qualify as a tour for the Discount to run Nationals also,
10. You will need the following:
2 SCCA Solo stickers for the sides of the car and one for the front. We will have them available for $4. 2005 SCCA rule book available from National, call 800-770-2055 and order one.
10. Here is the link to register:

11. It is a members only event, however I do have a limited number of temporary memberships which we will issue ahead of time for a small donation to the Foundation. It is worth $45 BTW, as you would get a $10 discount on our event and $15 discount if you decide to join the SCCA (no obligation) email me at craig_garfield@msn.com if interested.
