Hi. I'm sort of new to the BMW club and wanted to know what processes take place @ the Vehicle Prep Center. My car is enroute to the VPC and I was courious as to what they do there and how long it takes to prep a car for delivery to the dealer. My dealer could not give me the details I want. I have a good idea b/c I've been to the VPC for Mercedes-Benz but not for BMW.
Any information would be appreciated.

We had a tour of the facility. They really don't do much. They clean the car and inspect the body or blemishes. They might perform a software update if needed then it's into the car carriers. Their main concern is that the car is in good cosmetic condition.

It depends on the condition of the car. They can do a good bit of work if the car was damaged in transit.
How long it takes, depends on how much has to be done and how backed up they are.
