DIY Radiator replacement

Hello, I noticied a hissing noise from my radiator the other day when I got home from work. Allthough no fluid was leaking I am assuming this is a sign of things to come. My car is a 98 328 convertible with 102K miles.

I was wondering how difficult it is to replace the radiator. I also heard about the aluminum replacement to the OEM plastic unit. Does anyone know where I can buy such a beast?

It's not that hard, and unless you are planning on keeping your car for another 100+k miles, I see no reason to spend the money on aluminum radiator. I am not sure what an OEM replacement would cost, but I imagine $200 or so. Al unit would run $450. But you really want it, zionsville autosport has them, as well as BimmerWorld which carries Fluidine
