Here are the classing changes for the 2014 NCC Autocross season.

The full release of our rules can be seen at: NCCAutocross Vehicle Classing Rules

BMW Classing
No changes to the BMW classing structure. The seven BMW classes S1, S2, S3, T1, T2, T3, & M remain.

MINI Classing
in 2014 the MINI class will have a PAX structure. This will allow those with fewer modifications to compete with the more modified MINI’s. No changes to the registration process will be necessary for participants.

All MINI’s will be combined into a single class. Participants will need to register by choosing the MINI class then choosing a secondary BMW class (S2, S3, T2, T3, and M). Please see the Vehicle Classing Rules to determine the correct performance class.

NEW!!! Grudge Match Class (GMC)
Want to see if you can beat the fastest guy out there? Been arguing with your buddy about who can get FTD? Think your Civic is faster than that Cobra? Then this is the class for you! Any car can compete, no PAX, fastest time wins!

PAX Class/Non-BMW Classing
No changes to the PAX Class.

All Non-BMW classes will be combined into a single PAX class. The PAX will be calculated using standard SCCA classes. The PAX class will also be open to BMW drivers who want to participate as well. Participants will need to register by choosing the PAX class then choosing a sub SCCA class. We have created a simple guide to SCCA car classifications here: What Class Am I In?

Click here for a detailed list of SCCA Classes.

There will also be Stock Street Tire classes for participants running SCCA Stock Classes on street tires. Street tires are considered 140 or higher treadwear rated. Tires with lower than a140 treadwear rating are considered competition tires and will not be allowed to compete in Stock Street Tire classes. The PAX modifier for Street Tire Classes is 0.975.

As part of an effort to make classing more understandable, Bob Esser will be the point of contact for all classing related items. He can be reached at classing@nccautocross.com.
