335is adaptive headlights

Apparently the actuator responsible for making my headlights adaptive is broken. BMW of Rockville is saying that means I will need a new headlight assembly costing $1800 plus. Anyone had any experience like this and does it really need all new assembly?

Car still under warranty? If not, then get another opinion at either another dealership or an independent.

Thnx for your response pseto, car is still under factory warranty. I will get a second opinion from another dealer.

If the car is still under warranty, why is BMW of Rockvile making you pay for it?
