Owned a 1971 2002 during 1970-1975. Loved it, although it was expensive to maintain even in Germany back then. Forty years have passed, just retired, so thought I'd take the plunge again. Like diesel power, having owned a 1986 Jetta diesel for 20 years and 300,000 miles. Just returned to Maryland after living car-less in Singapore for six years. Have a lot of questions about oil, DEF, up-tuning, tires, spare kit, suspension upgrades, best dealer for maintenance around here, etc.
