Car-Reality:
- Got lucky on allotment of a 1M last year, received my car June 2011
- Always dreamed of having a totally tricked out street/track car
- Got one sponsor who wanted to show the car at SEMA, then it snow balled into an enormous, and crazy-expensive project
- The car did show at a booth at SEMA, was really neat...
- Meanwhile, wife is mad at all the money I spent on mods, car STILL being tuned, still a dozen punchlist items to do (and pay for) before it can be driven, still owe one sponsor money and am trying to sell all the OEM parts to pay him; haven't driven the car since I dropped it off with sponsors immediately after purchase (apparently I only bought it to make payments on, annoy OEM purists, and look at it in the form of online pics)
But, none-the-less, I still love BMW and hold out hope that despite my stupid modding obsession, I will eventually have a car I can actually drive, race, and enjoy! Oh and I look forward to meeting and making friends with fellow car and speed obsessed Beemer-heads.
