Car-Reality:

• Got lucky on allotment of a 1M last year, received my car June 2011
• Always dreamed of having a totally tricked out street/track car
• Got one sponsor who wanted to show the car at SEMA, then it snow balled into an enormous, and crazy-expensive project
• The car did show at a booth at SEMA, was really neat...
• Meanwhile, wife is mad at all the money I spent on mods, car STILL being tuned, still a dozen punchlist items to do (and pay for) before it can be driven, still owe one sponsor money and am trying to sell all the OEM parts to pay him; haven't driven the car since I dropped it off with sponsors immediately after purchase (apparently I only bought it to make payments on, annoy OEM purists, and look at it in the form of online pics)

But, none-the-less, I still love BMW and hold out hope that despite my stupid modding obsession, I will eventually have a car I can actually drive, race, and enjoy! Oh and I look forward to meeting and making friends with fellow car and speed obsessed Beemer-heads.

Just spoke to Sander at cp-e, they're getting close on the custom COBB tune! Next immediate items on the punch-list:
- BimmerWorld occupancy sensor/airbag/seatbelt chime defeat (available to the public soon)
- Send rear Forgeline wheels back to move centers out 12mm - I didn't allow for the BBK when I ordered them (powdercoated oem wheels black last month to run on the street)
- Back to Piper Motorsport to cut and install rear CF interior panels, reinforce front splitter, and modify rear CF under-panel to fit over cp-e race exhaust
- Install new RevoZport CF hood and trunk and have them rewrapped (I had the first prototypes, didn't fit just right)
- Later, cut off OEM roof and install RevoZport CF replacement roof...yikes

Welcome and congrats on the car! It looks awesome. I hope to see it in person one day.

I'm a big fan of COBB. I had their original Stage 1 reflash on my 2003 WRX before the Accessport even existed. Later I had the first generation Accessport with a Stage 2.5 ProTune and various other bolt-ons that they make. I even visited their facility in Salt Lake once and met the owners. They are a great group of guys and they make some great products.

Thanks man, yeah I'm stoked that cp-e is working with COBB on the tune. Last update, still having issues, something about a MAF ceiling. All I know is I can't wait to drive it! Hope to see you at a CCA event soon.
