Contemplating adding a LSD to my 2010 335i - Dinan Stage 2 flash overwhelms the *one* tire. Does anyone have recommendations, preferably based on actual experience? Also, any recommended shops to do the install?

Anyone can install a Quaife. Not everyone can assemble a Quaife.
I have a Quaife and while I like it over the traditional clutch-pack LSD, I found my clutch-pack to be better in wet while the Quaife is better on dry.
I had a recent discussion with Dan from Diffsonline regarding some locking up I'm experiencing. I just need to use a thinner fluid, but in discussing Quaifes,
he told me I was leaving some power on the table at the track and I'd be better off with a clutch=pack.
Maybe someone racers can explain that better?
Not familiar with a wavetrac.
Quaifes suck. Lift a wheel, they go open. Get one wheel on a surface that's too slippery, they go open. The plus side is that they are very smooth - that's why they are so good on FWD cars. Quaife/torsen/helical diffs are essentially the same thing.
Looking at the web site for wavetrac, it's *probably* much better than a standard Quaife. Assuming it's reliable and works as advertised. Of course, it all begs the question of why you aren't looking at clutched diffs as well.
