My wife drives a 2003 530i and she loves it. I've never really paid much attention to the car other than occasionally driving it when we are going out together or when it's just not practical to drive my SUV. I started paying attention after I saw what the stealershop (dealership) was charging for repairs and basic oil change!!!!! This led me to seek out advice on various repairs and just general BMW knowledge. I joined Bimmerfest and checked out their forums which has been helpful.
From the bimmerfest website I learned about the Bimmerfest East gathering that occurred this past weekend. My wife's birthday is coming up, so what other way to indulge a BMW fanatic; buy her a membership in BMWCCA and took her to Bimmerfest East 2011.
The Bimmerfest outing was FANTASTIC!! I met some great members of the NCC and spoke with a young lady at the NCC tent(Thanks for info).
Two outcomes from Bimmerfest East:
- I got major cool points with the wife
- I'm now dead set on getting a E38
I'm sure I'll be using the forums when I get ready to pull the trigger on a E38.
