I have a cosmetically beautiful 533i w/103K miles parked on the side of my house for over a year due to overheating. The Rad, Tstat, and water pump were all recently replaced, the fans were checked, and the fan temp switches all check out. So I've concluded that I"ve got a headgasket or cracked head to repair/replace.

I did a headgasket on an other car once before but that was nearly at the limit of my mechanical ability. I just need some motivation that this car won't be any tougher and that I should just jump to it. After all, I figure I can't hurt things any worse than they are since the car is not drivable anyway.

Tell me this is no worse than any other headgasket job and I might get off the dime and do it.
