DIY @ Do It Yourself Mechanics

Do It Yourself (DIY) Program Overview

The 2011 Do It Yourself (DIY) program allows National Capital Chapter (NCC) BMW Car Club of America (CCA) Members to work on their own cars under the supervision of expert mechanics and technicians provided by the DIY Sponsor. The purpose of the DIY is to learn and practice proper maintenance and repair techniques that you can routinely complete within a two-and-one-half-hour (2.5 hour) time period.

There are typically several NCC members who can assist you when an extra pair of hands or advice is needed.

THIS EVENT: Tuesday Evening, July 26, 5-10 pm

The DIY Program Webpage is here http://www.nccbmwcca.org/content.php?119-diy

This event offers online registration and payment through MotorsportReg.com.

    Registration will be through Motorsportreg.com

I just left DIY mechanics. The doors are locked and there is a sign on the door that says the business has been closed since July 18th and until further notice. Phil's flight was cancelled so he couldn't make it. He's probably on a flight back to Baltimore now.

Darn. I really wanted to change my brake pads.

Ed Cove and Company that run the DIY Garage have closed down permanently. There is another DIY garage there known as Auto Sports Car, Inc. run by Scott. Renee, that worked with Ed at the DIY Garage is now there. You can find out more about the DIY garage and membership to it by visiting http://sportscarshopinc.com/aboutus.html. Scott is a great person and wonderful personality. A very welcoming person. He also designs breweries and has a nice selection of beers!
