I really can't wait till the spring decides to roll back our way...Would be great to get out and actually start gettin involved with NCC events. haha. However, this "winter" this year is doing a rather good impression of spring time though...

We're famous!!! A few club members are always there to make sure BMWs are represented. Still meeting over throughout the winter as long as its a clear day and then off to breakfast afterwards. Hope to see more new faces soon.

I've read the posts on the link, but still don't know what "coding" means. Flashing the ECU? Most E-chassis cars? E12s, E21s, E24, E28, E30 . . . These either did not have an ECU or the units used chips.

"Coding " or "keying" refers to turning on/off the options usually performed at the dealership at delivery. Some examples:

E46/E39/Z4:
Remote Windows Up
Remote Top and Windows Up (Vert)
Fog lights with High Beams
Auto Lock doors when driving
Clown nose activation with corner blink on lock
Side marker delete
Unlock all doors on one click

Yes, we still meet, usually after 830a. Not sure what the turnout will be tomorrow due to the holidays, but we also have a Facebook page (search Maple Lawn Cars & Coffee). Sometimes we meet at ML super early and head to Katies, then back to ML to hangout again.

What kind of updates are you looking for? If the weather is decent, people usually show up between 830a and 10a.
