Upgrading Halos/Angel Eyes

I noticed the 2011 E92s have much brighter Halos/Angel Eyes. I upgraded my 2008 with brighter H8 Halos, but really like the even brighter ones on the 2011s. Does anyone know if they are the same plug and play type of "bulb" as when I upgraded the first time? Or, is the actual ring different? If it is just a brighter bulb that I can replace, does anyone know the part number, price, and if it will throw any codes? Thanks.

Its a totally different assembly, so plug-and-play bulbs won't get it anywhere near as bright as 2011 models. I would expect more aftermarket solutions, but I think it'll be a while before anything is comparable.
