    Leaking

Recently, I replaced valve gasket successfully after I found little oil around ignition coil boots.

Later, I noticed dark brown oil spots on the ground, which I guess are leaking engine oil.
But, the engine looks clean. I do not see anything around the valve gasket line. Engine oil level is still good.

It seems that there are oil spots under rather left engine side. I can see them continuously.

What would it come from? I have no lifts, then what should I check first?

    Thank you in advance.

If it's on the left (drivers) side of the engine and assuming that your car has a dipstick (you didn't post year or model), I would check the dipstick o-ring where it pushes into the pan. That's prone to leaking if pulled out a bit.

It leaks even more if you forget the O-ring. That was an expensive mistake.

You may want to check by the oil filter housing. Look between the oil filter cap and the intake manifold and look on the block. you should see a cross hatch pattern on the block. If it's soaked in oil chances are you have an oil filter housing that is leaking or a VANOS line leak. You'll need a pretty strong flashlight to see in the darkness. It can be a pretty lucrative job for a do it yourselfer. If you live in baltimore I'd be glad to look at it for you free of charge. Just give me a call.
