    (2010) SCCA NE Divisional and WDCR Pro Solo

    So who's going? I just signed up for the Pro Solo, keeping an eye on the entry list for the Divisional since it'll probably be a last minute decision for me.

    NE Divisional registration. Closes May 14th.

    Signed up for Div and Pro this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to the decals that come with this, cause I can see myself being lazy and just leaving that stuff plastered all over the Corolla. I already have two "tyte drifters" that I believe will wind up stealing my car in my apt complex, more stickers will probably just antagonize them.

    Hmm... I seem to be the only "Prepared" category person. Yesterday there were XP folks, but I think all the "Prepared" groups are getting railroaded into R1. I'm going to get curb-stomped by factory fives.

    I'm "in" for both events.

    For the DC pro, all prepared and modified cars are being lumped into R1. They punch the indexes into the computer, so it's kinda like bracket racing where the slower indexed car gets to leave first. In theory, still "fair".

    Pro Solo uses two almost identical mirrored courses built side by side, with a drag race start. Two cars line up at the start simultaneously, the christmas tree goes yellow, yellow, yellow, green, and the drivers take off into the mirrored courses. Then once they finish, the line up for the other course, until they do 2 runs on each course. The best time for each course is combined for the results.

    The biggest issue to me is how they will setup the smaller B3 lot for the ProSolo since we are now stuck with that lot for the remainder of the season at WDCR.

    Is this because of the new sealant on the big lot?

    Its because Fedex kicked them off the big lot, the cars driving over the sealant was making a huge mess of their lot. It needs time to cure properly, and they have arbitrarily booted them for the rest of the year. Sucks.

    The ProSolo was done on the smaller lot a few years back, 2007 or 2008 I think. It worked fine.

    I'd love to come out to SCCA this year, but I have no car to use. Hopefully, I can make one of the later events.
