    DC Auto Show

Anyone going? Its not that great of a show, and don't think there will even be a BMW section, except for the a few 'green' prototypes.

If I have nothing else going on, I may check it out anyways since I usually go every year.

Yeah, it sucks- but we go every year also.

We'll probably be there friday. It funny that we usually see almost nothing we'd consider buying, but it's fun anyway. Hopefully the pie run will happen saturday (or sunday).

I think Friday is autotrader day so its cheaper with the coupon; definitely a good day to go. weekends suck b/c its too crowded

Looking at the floor plan, it seems emptier than previous years.

Lots of empty spaces- I suppose they will be filled with 'local celebrities' and vendors trying to sell miracle wax. No Porsche area, but I'm surprised to see that Saab has a section. Maybe they will be more focused on "Buy Saab!" instead of "Buy A Saab!".

    Like yours truly.

My M3 is on display at the SCCA booth, right in front of the SOLO trailer. Its directly next to BMW / MINI on the left side. If that isn't a reason to go to the show, then I don't know what is!

The show just isn't the same without Oldsmobile and Pontiac.

And over 75 percent (yes, I kept score) of the vehicles that spun out to the sides of the roads were SUVs.

Wow, didn't know the Fiat 500s were still around, are they still an air cooled 2 cylinder? Mine was in high school!.
