It has been speculated for several months, but Bimmerworld has now announced that they are leaving the SCCA's Speed World Challenge series for the Grand-Am's Continential Tire Challenge series with two newly-build E90 328is for the Street Tuner class. A Grand Sport class M3 is planned for later in the year.

The first CTC race is Friday, January 29 prior to the Daytona 24-hour Rolex Grand-Am. Who's going?

"Too bad" Turner left to race GTs. Battle between BimmerWorld and Turner would have been interesting.

Turner will be running two GS class M3s in the Continental Tire Challenge. I thought they were going to run a 328 in ST too, but it's not entered in the January 29 race. I guess four cars in 3 classes in 2 races would be a bit much for any team.
