BMW CCA 2006 3 Series Contest

Do you think you have what it takes to be a big-time automotive writer? Always wanted to know what it's like to have those glamour jobs, like maybe attending the launch of a brand-new BMW model? Or, just because you love BMWs, how would you like to be one of the first to drive the new 3 series?

    Well, here's your chance.

BMW of North America will include one BMW CCA member among representatives of the North American press corps invited to the launch of the new E90 3 Series - but there's a catch. You have to tell us why YOU should be the one person chosen for this honor. Yes, we know your mother loves you - but why should YOU be among the first to see and drive the 2006 3 Series and tell your fellow members about it?

It's that simple. Just make your case and tell us why you should be chosen among the first in America to see and drive the new 2006 3 Series. The winner will participate in the BMW of North America press launch of the E90 3 Series sometime during the first week of May, 2005, along with a BMW CCA Roundel staff member. All travel within North America, lodging, meals, and associated costs will be paid for by BMW NA. In exchange for your participation, you will be required to write about your impressions of the newest 3 Series and your experiences for publication in Roundel magazine.

    To be eligible, you
»must be 21 years of age by March 31, 2005.
»must hold a valid automobile operator's permit from your state/jurisdiction.
»must be able to travel by commercial air carrier from a departure point in North America to a destination within the Continental United States during the first week of May (5/1/05 to 5/7/05).
»must be a member-in-good-standing of the BMW Car Club of America, Inc. as of December 1, 2004, and hold a valid membership through May 2005.
»must sign a liability release to participate in the model launch.
»must NOT be an employee of BMW AG, BMW NA, BMW Manufacturing, or their dealers/centers, suppliers, service providers, or contractors.
»must NOT be an employee, contractor, or member of the Board of Directors of the BMW Car Club of America, Inc. or a staff member of Roundel magazine.
»spouses or companions of any type will not be included or accomodated.

    Entries MUST

»be limited to 300 TYPED words or less.
»be limited to one entry per member.
»include your full name, address, daytime and home phone number or where you should be contacted, your date of birth (day/month/year), and your BMW CCA membership number for verification
»be received via e-mail by midnight March 1, 2005 or postmarked no later than March 1, 2005.

    Submit entries to

    BMW Car Club of America
    2006 3 Series Contest
640 South Main Street, Suite 201
    Greenville, SC 29601

    or submit entries online
Any and all entries or entrants not meeting these requirements will be excluded from the selection process without notification.

The decision of the judges, BMW NA, and BMW CCA is final. The winner will be notified on or before April 1, 2005. Alternatives will be selected in the event the winner is unable to accept the invitation. Any applicable tax liability is the responsibility of the winner.
