Couple of questions from a new guy

I hope the experts on this forum can help out a BMW newbie with a couple of minor but irritating problems. I'm guessing there may be simple solutions that I am just not figuring out.

1. Driver's side mirror rotates down upon unlocking car regardless of it's last position or which key fob is used.

2. Ipod plays for about 3-5 minutes and then switches to FM. I have the ipod cable with the usb and aux connectors. I have used two different cables and a classic ipod as well as ipod touch.
