BMWs top Summit Point 12-Hour Results

Last Saturday's SCCA 12 Hours at the Point race saw 29 cars, about half of the normal field, take the green flag. There were 6 BMWs participating and after 12-hours BMWs captured 1st, 2nd and 4th. The winners were Jason Marks, David White, James Clay, and ? Smith in Jason's Bimmerworld ITE E36 325i. Piper Motorsport took second with their ex-Koni Challenge ITE E46 330i driven my Mitch Piper, Stewart, Briody, Schmidt and Trenery. Ron Willis, Ted Geovanis, Scott Linton and Dewey were 4th in a Manassas Motorwerkes ITR E36 325i.

Is that a sign of the times or people being more selective to which races to enter?

yes and yes. Just as we discussed about HPDE events. Fields are smaller in ALMS, Grand-Am, World Challenge, and Koni Challenge too.
