We return to our favorite Spring location, PubDog Pizza & Drafthouse. The weather is starting to get nice again so we picked a place where we can hangout before we head inside.

We've had a packed house the past 3 months at PubDog. This is always our biggest and best social

In order to continue having future socials, the club will cover up to $20/head, so we'll collect $ to help cover the remaining part of the bill/gratuity (usually $5-10/head). Those who have a few more drinks or order more expensive food items will need to chip in more than those who stay within the $20/head limit.

Parking - we will park on the far end of the normal PubDog parking lot, NOT the parking lot where the HoCo govt is located across the street. Get there early to get a good spot; we'll hangout starting at 6p and go inside by 7pm

The parking lot closest to PubDawg is different from the actual PubDawg parking lot? I know the establishment, but just not sure what parking lot to head to.

last bump for tonight...hopefully the rain will stay away, weather.com says 50% with most of the bad rain a lot later in the evening.

yeah, just imagine if mother nature didnt tease us with a threat of rain. we had a little less than 50 people last night!!! thanks everyone.

wow, great turnout last night even with the threat of rain. we fell a few people short of 50 which is easily the biggest turnout of the year. every month at PubDog we've had bigger and bigger crowds so people must really like it

i got a couple of requests for a new venue b/c some are tired of pizza and mediocre parking. we could go back to Champps or Uno's at Columbia Mall where the parking is a lot better. what do you guys think? i could throw up another poll

Was I out of line bringing the dog to Pub Dog? It was fairly normal at the Federal Hill location for dogs to be there. Thoufgt a few fellas might bring there's.

It seems like we had a number of people talking about this last night, some more vocally than others.

Pubdog has an amazingly limited menu, and it's hard to talk to anyone else but the 4-5 other people sitting at your booth with you- once we go inside it doesn't much feel like a 'club event'. Combined with losing the good parking, it doesn't seem as attractive as it did three months ago. We've done it 4 times now, which is about as long as we're ever at any one venue. Pubdog doesn't seem better enough than other options to stay for another 3-4 months.

With the threatening weather last night, I kept thinking that the garage at Champs could have offered the fantastic advantage of being able to shield everyone's cars from rain/hail. On nice evenings last year the upper deck seemed as nice as anywhere else we've had to park, and was great for pictures.

Another option brought up last night was Ram's Head Tavern at Savage Mill. They have three levels plus two outdoor seating areas, so they can more than accommodate the largest group we can turn out. They have a very large and very empty parking area, and the food and beer are great. On the other hand, it is not exactly in Columbia. But that aside, it could be a great option to consider.

I think a discussion and a poll are probably appropriate. We could leave Pubdog as an option- if it really is popular as a venue then we can of course consider staying there.
