slave cylinder bleeding trouble

ok so i replaced my slave cylinder and tried to bleed but still air in the line after about 20+ pumps and still no tention in the pedal just slams to the floor. please help if possible.

The actual piston is not properly seated in the transmission groove in the throwout fork.

This means that the piston has nothing to push against, and it just being pushed into the air.

BTW ... By slamming it to the floor 20 times, you just ruined that new slave cylinder by blowing apart the internal seals.

if he blew it apart, there would probably be brake fluid coming out of the bellhousing..

remove the slave from the tranny. orient it so the bleed valve is up. bleed it by pushing in on the slave piston. do not use the clutch pedal at this point! when the air is out, put slave back in tranny. clutch should work now.

well I ended up just taking it to a shop i was recomended to up in fredricksburg the other morning and there the guy power bled the system and i was on my way. the pedal stayed on the floor once and came right back to life that day. and today it stayed on the floor for 1/2 a second.

here is a question. what do you think could be causeing my 2nd gear to grind with the clutch all the way down (disengauged) and only over 2 1/2 to 3k rpms anything under that and it doesnt grind (let me tell ya merging while having to wait for the rpms to come down can be a royal pain) i dont know what could be causing this. i just had the clutch replaced about 7 months ago (roughly) and havent really driven it much seeing as how it was in cali. while i was saving up the money to get it out here after i moved ( it was sitting for about 3 months with noone driving it. any insite would be a help ( i just hope i dont have to re-replace the damn clutch all over again)
