    E36 328 Convertible Heating Issue

    Hello all,
My 328 is having some heating issues. I working on the cooling system over the summer - replaced the thermostat, water pump, several hoses. It was overheating and is running fine now. Now the issue is heating. When idling or driving at low RPMs on surface streets, the vents blow lukewarm air, even if set at 90 degrees. When on the highway at say 2700-3000 RPMS, the heater blows HOT. Anyone have any suggestions? Heater core? A/C works fine and is cold. Just have this intermittent heating issue. Thanks for any and all responses!

...and when you bleed, you gotta have the car on, heat on full blast so that coolant circulates through the heater core...keep an eye on the temp gauge too, so you don't blow the head gasket.

It's also a good idea to buy a mechanics funnel...it attaches to the radiator neck, you fill it with coolant so that you can fill all of space in the cooling system

you will also need a european/BMW adapter...if you choose to buy all this, you will also discover why it costs so much to get this work done at a BMW shop.

    Good luck.
