Help! Need access to a Code reader

Hey all, I just bought a 2000 540 sport and the SeS light just popped on. I have a Peak FX, but for some reason it won't read the car. Anyone in the area have an FX III I could use for 5 minutes? I ordered a new Peak but the ship date isabout 10 day out.

Go to an autozone, odds are if it pops the SES light the generic OBD-II reader will give you what you need.

Thanks, I forgot about Autozone, next question is where is the OBDII on an E39?

I was rather under the impression that they were required to put the OBD-II port in the driver's footwell, in the top left. Check there.
