Well, my M3 that sits a lot (winter and between DE's) went through 2 Optimas in 3 years. Talked directly with the local Interstate distributor and he says he gets a LOT of returns from people who buy them for cars that sit a lot.

The regular sears battery is now at 2 years with no signs of problems. There are other products on the market, but this has worked well for me.
