Driver's Seat Problem

The driver's seat and steering wheel adjustment on our 540iT wagon have stopped working - the seat and the steering wheel will not adjust in any direction when the controls are actuated. The side mirrors still work.

I've checked the fuses and all are ok.

Any help troubleshooting? My sense is that it may be the control module - is this difficult to replace? From the Bentley service manual it looks like the hardest part is getting the seat out of the car.

Could it be anything else?

Thanks in advance - right now the seat is stuck at my wife's settings, and since she is out of town I am driving the kids around with my knees around my ears!

I figured this out - the trim that wraps around the corner of the seat and houses the seat switch broke loose from the seat and eventually caused the seat switch to disconnect from the plug/harness. I can manually reconnect it, and have ordered a new trim piece. Hopefully that will cure it and I will not have to replace the seat switch (or remove the seat from the car).
