Question for the Board

Is there a way to find out how many members own E31 8 series?

Also, how to send out a special E31 notice to those owners?

According to the club records we have about the following:

850Ci 1994 1
850Ci 1995 1
850ci 1996 1
850Ci 1997 1
850CSi 1994 1

These data represent what our members put down as models owned when they register for membership and are not otherwise maintained. So this count is rather approximate. Further, not everyone includes an email address when they register. However, we do not provide our members addresses (email or otherwise) to anyone outside the board and its authorized agents (those who publish dB, those who run events and may need to contact participants, those who send out email updates). The club can act as an intermediary at times. So… you basically have the following options:

Post a message on the message board (as you have done)
Write an article for the dB (we can always use extra material)
Ask for a special message to be included in the monthly “calendar of events” (this would need to be approved by the board).
Ask for a special mailing to members who have indicated on club records that they own an E31 (this would need to be approved by the board and the club would handle the message and would be a bit hit or miss)

Talking to the board is easy, you just did it. You can also email us directly (the addresses are published on this site and in the dB).

Thank you for your advice. I will be writing an article on the 8-Series gathering Coming up in April 2008 (April 11~13) in Mount Dora, Florida. I will take your suggestion and request a Events notice on the Calender.
