    May 8th, Columbia Social, Champps, 6pm - new X6!!!!!

Come one, come all!!!! We'll be back at Champps on Thursday, May 8th. Last month worked out so well, that we'll have to follow the same format.

New start time of 6pm on the top floor of the parking garage between Champps & Nordstrom's. We'll head inside at 7pm where Champps in expecting another big turnout

Also, just like the past few months, I have arranged for the brand new X6 to show up, courtesy of Russel BMW and David Aviles. For those who aren't familiar with the X6, its a coupe-like version of the X5 SAV with the twin-turbo I6 engine (V8 TT coming soon). Its a true monster!!!!

NOTE: In order to continue having future socials, the club will cover up to $20/head, so we'll collect $ to help cover the remaining part of the bill/gratuity (usually around $5-10/head). Hopefully those who have a few more drinks than others will volunteer more than someone that just orders sodas.

tischer had one about two weeks ago. Don't know if they still have it. Really like the x5 and the new one looks nice. Not a fan of the x6 look though.

I just cant get the aztec out of my head when i see the x6

at least the drivetrain will have some choices.

I thought it was way better in person. I wasnt a fan much either till I saw it. I've had an X5 for 4 years now and still like the older e53 model the best, but the engines in the X6 are amazing.

BTW, regarding Dirichlet's comment about last month's Columbia social, the waitress did provide excellent service. She had that special something about her........can't quite think of the right words to use though

That was my exact impression when I saw the x6 at Tate last weekend. I'm not a fan.

Although this may not be the SAV for me, I think the Aztec reference is a bit harsh. The X6 did look much better in person when I saw it at Tate last weekend. It seems too much like a niche vehicle for me and I was not impressed with the price - 66k - ouch!
