Destination: Auto Marine Terminal, Jersey City, NJ


The New York Chapter will be hosting a tour to the BMW NA Vehicle Processing Center at the Auto Marine Terminal, Jersey City, NJ, on Saturday, April 5. Two to three thousand BMWs roll off the boat and are processed in only a few days. From clean up, to body work, to software upgrades, this facility does it all, and very efficiently. Rolls Royce and the MINI are also prepped for delivery at this location.

When NCC hosted this event in 2004, we rented a bus from Columbia because we needed to be there early.

I would strongly suggest someone talking the lead on this.
A shuttle van or bus might be necessary.
Caravaning at 6:00 am is probably not wise.

Motorweek, filmed by Maryland Public Television had a feature on the Port of Baltimore a few weeks ago. The feature showed one of the major receiving companies. The staff were all white gloved and wearing what appeared to be surgical gowns. They had a very large inspection shop & did bodywork on-site.

It's not really the kind of thing I'd be dying to go see, but I imagine someone could plan a trip up there...it's a little closer than NJ.
