BMW’s transmission of the future will appear first as an option on the BMW M3 coupe, sedan, and convertible arriving here in mid-spring. Just announced, the Double Clutch Gearbox (DCG) builds on the pioneering work of VW/Audi’s double-shift gearbox (DSG) but with seven not six forward speeds and the ability to handle high horsepower.
