BMW M Driving School: Trip Recommendations

I am going to be attending the M Driving School at the BMW Performance Driving Center. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the possible routes and had advice on the best route to drive--I'll be heading south during the day, mid-week, and driving back overnight later during the week. The choices seem to be 1) (shortest - 95 South to 85 South to Greenville, or 2) 81 Southwest to 77South to 85south, or 3) 81 Southwest to 26south.

    Thanks in advance.

81S to 77S to 85S is the best way.
You don't want to travel 85 in Virginia.
And 95 near Fredricksburg is always backed up.

If you are staying in Greenville, get off 385S.

If you have the time, here's a suggestion from Raf Garces- We took the Blue Ridge Parkway and it made the trip just as much fun as the school!

As told to me a year ago:

It depends on how much time you have and whether you want to stay off the interstates.

The "normal" route for the NCC group to get to Spartanburg is:
    66W to 81S to 77S to 85S.

    An all highway alternative is:
66W to 81S to 26S to 85S. The stretch of I-26 runs through the mountains of NC and takes you through Asheville, NC. It's a really nice stretch of road, but will add about 45 minutes to the trip.

    Another alternative would be:
66W to US29S (at Gainesville). Take 29S through Danville, VA and proceed to Greensboro, NC. At Greensboro, you pick either 40W to 77S to 85S or you can catch 85S directly from Greensboro.

If you really want to take some time, do as Steven suggested and jump over to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

    Have fun.
