Can anyone suggest a place to get a windshield replaced? I'd go to Safelite, but it took them 3 tries to get the the windshield on my wife's Land Rover sorted last year (didn't occur to them to replace a particular seal, so it leaked into the headliner every time it rained). Also, are there any special seals that need to be replaced? Thanks in advance for any help.
I always used my independent mechanic for windshield replacement. Had numerous bad experiences with windshield shops. Poor fitting glass, poor work product etc. And hated giving my cars keys to guys who were just released from the state of fed pen on parole or probation. Always took the house key off.
My insurance company never had a problem paying my mechanic. We always replaced the seal with an OEM BMW one and the windshield was always from BMW OEM.
