Early reviews of the upcoming BMW M3 range somewhere between positive and extremely enthusiastic. For example: Car and Driver, in its September 2007 preview of the M3, says, “[The M3] is the absolute state of the art in engine and chassis technology. It remains the soulful driving machine that made its predecessors perennial Car and Driver 10Best favorites.” The magazine recorded a 4.4-second 0-60 time send it expects better with a better-broken-in M3 on more favorable test days.
