    Passenger Seat

How hard is it to replace the motor on a passenger seat, The seat will not position itself in an upright position. It will only go all the way back or lean forward to allow someone to get in the back. Is this a motor issue or do I need a new seat????

what car? If it's an E36, it could just be the plastic gears in the seat--they break eventually and need replacing.

if the motor runs (you should be able to hear it when you activate it) it's the gears. BavAuto stocks them. It's an easy fix, other than the weight of pulling the seat out and time to take everything apart. Decent writeup with pics at:
