Robert Kubica returned to action in the Grand Prix of France, starting fourth on the grid and finishing fourth in the race. Nick Heidfeld ran fifth.

BMW-Sauber Formula One racer Robert Kubica, returning from a one-race absence due to his horrendous crash in Canada, started fourth on the grid at the Grand Prix of France at the Magny-Cours circuit. He held on to the position to finish a lonely fourth in a race where the action took place both ahead of him and behind him. His teammate Nick Heidfeld finished fifth after battling with Fernando Alonso of McLaren Mercedes.
Ferrari was back on point in France for the first time in several races; Felipe Massa took the pole and his teammate Kimi Raikkonen was third on the< grid. McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton
