BMW-Sauber finished fourth overall for the fourth time in four Formula One races this season. This time, though, it was Robert Kubica who chased a Ferrari and two McLarens to the checkered flag, not his teammate Nick Heidfeld. Kubica, whose season to date had been plagued with mechanical problems, qualified fifth to Heidfeld’s seventh, moved into fourth when Ferrari’s star-crossed Kimi Raikkonen dropped out with mechanical problems, and held on to the spot for the balance of the race, except for a few laps when he ran second before his pit stop.
