BMW’s front running 320si was a heavyweight in every sense of the term going into rounds three and four of the World Touring Car Championship at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. Because of their performance in the series’ opening rounds in Brazil in March (report at BMW dominates at WTCC season opener in Brazil), each of BMW’s championship leading drivers, Jörg Müller, Augusto Farfus, and Andy Priaulx, carried an extra 35 kilograms of “success weight” at Zandvoort.
