The Grand-Am Rolex Series ran split races at Virginia International Raceway in April, including one on Saturday for the GT class and one on Sunday for Daytona Prototypes. There was a lone BMW entrant in each race; neither made it to the checkered flag.
Connolly M3 exits early on Saturday
On Saturday, in a Rolex Series GT race won by the Porsche GT3 Cup of Miller and Werner, the Matt Connolly Motorsports M3 was a backmarker from the beginning. The car lasted just 36 of the race’s 76 laps.
