BMWs from Turner Motorsports and Fall-Line Motorsports made the podium as the Grand-Am Koni Challenge held its second event of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The first event of the series, which features street-based race cars (see www.grand-am.com for more information), was held way back in January at Daytona International Speedway (a full report appears here). At Daytona there was one race that included both the Grand Sports and Speed Tuner classes. The Homestead race was more typical of what the balance of the season holds in store, with a 400 km or 2-1/2 hour race for each of the series’ two classes.
