Nick Heidfeld of BMW-Sauber is three-for-three in the 2007 Formula One Season. He began with a fourth place finish in Australia, repeated with fourth in Malaysia, and has continued his streak with yet another fourth place finish, this time in Bahrain. His teammate Robert Kubica, who experienced significant car problems in the first two races, ran well on Bahrain’s wind-blown desert circuit, finishing sixth and scoring three points for the team.
The BMW-Saubers were best of the rest in Bahrain qualifying – that is, behind the Ferraris and McLarens that have been dominant so far this season. Heidfeld was fifth on the grid and Kubica was sixth, behind the pole-sitting Ferrari of Felipe Massa, the McLaren-Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen, and the McLaren of Fernando Alonso.
