With the Koni Challenge Grand Sport and Speed Tuner races mostly separate in 2007, there should be fewer incidents and yellow flags, says Don Salama, speaking at a Jersey Chapter meeting. (Brian Morgan photo)

Returning to his New Jersey roots, Koni Challenge Series racer Don Salama gave a presentation at the February 2007 monthly meeting of the New Jersey Chapter, his old home base in the Club. He talked to the members about his history in racing, the Turner Motorsport team, and the state of the Koni Challenge series today.
Last year, when the series was known as Grand-Am Cup, Salama shared the Speed Tuner Class Drivers’ Championship with his co-driver and team owner Will Turner. They won the championship in a Turner Motorsport 330i in a year when Turner won the Team Championship in both Grand-Am Cup classes and Turner pilot Anders Hainer won the Grand Sport class Drivers’ Championship in an E46 M3.
