Without getting into the long agonizing experience I had with European Delivery and the dealer who handled it, here is the bottom line: The car was damaged by the factory, it was not repaired prior to delivery at the dealer as promised. The dealer made the repair instead of having it repaired at the VPC, and the result was "not right." They refused to do anything more. The paint on the hood has a haze, possibly the result of overspray, near the roundel where a stone chip was repaired. The dealer will do nothing to resolve this, and says it is good enough. By the way, I should not worry about the wheel and bumper cover they "curbed." As one senior management wonk put it, "We are not going to do anything about it. All cars get scratches."
Does anyone know if this is something which can be buffed out, or is a proper repaint required? I realize this might be difficult not seeing the car.
