BMW Group sales increased 12% in February vs. February 2006, with sales of 24,642 vs. 22,018. Year-to-date, BMW Group is up 5% following a soft January (few Minis for sale), with sales of 46,453 vs. 44,236. The BMW brand was up 15% in February (22,274 sales vs. 19,328), with SAV sales up 28% in February and automotible sales up 12%. 3 Series sales were especially hot, BMW said, 11,735 vs. 9,140 (up 28%), as the result of widespread availability of the twin-turbo inline-six.
