“… the BMW’s 335i sedan is a pretty sweet package … that could set off a new era of turbocharged performance for BMW,” says Road & Track in its March review, “BMW 335i: twin-turbo ’tweener.” With the six-speed manual transmission, R&T found 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and turned a quarter-mile in 13.5 seconds at 105 mph. (It got best results with a 4500 rpm launch and DSC disabled.)
